    this is crazy.. they don't respect each user's opinion.. i know there's some possible setting adjustments that can be made but some users are too ignorant. because of this, they market such products which they used without their consent

    My default reaction -- and I believe this is the general sentiment of most netizens -- is to flinch whenever a feature has such potential to be harmful that it requires me to adjust my settings.

    I kinda want to see what my friends like and don't like. Saves me the time of asking. I can understand the whole debate about privacy, but Google (like FB) allow people to change their settings to their preference. If you don't like it, then don't participate.
