PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE YOU COMMENT OR JUDGE ME... What if it was the people who was reporting on ISIS that's being banned on social media??? Then, we would be fighting for freedom of speech. Freedom of speech and exchange of ideas entails that we are open to speech and ideas that are contrary to ours. But we all have a mind to think for ourselves.... OK, so that's what I was thinking until all these normal seeming Americans got arrested for apparently trying to help ISIS. That's crazy. And it makes me a little paranoid about who's other there buying into their message and mission. So, I say ban hate and violence inspiring speech from social media.

they should be banned but that needs some serious work because, if you are a group of terrorist recruiting for potential members, you should be using anonymous IPs which will confuse IP trackers.

Lester Choqutte voted for NO almost 5 years ago.

despite the fact that i want these dopes eliminated, the idea of the owners of Social Media sites seems to favor the Government -- which should not be. As far as i know, they should be equal in treating everybody. And that includes the ISIS.. And that sucks!

This might be a trick to deceive us. we should not focus on their recruitment via Social Media because its fucking ridiculous for a terrorist to recruit members using social media. Am I the only one who thinks this way?

They'll make some attacks in New York soon. check this out.

Anyone who doesn't believe in what they believe is their enemy. Plus they've already declared war on the world. So, this is not about freedom of speech. This is about war and fighting back against a force that wants to kill us -- all non-muslims.

ISIS are not just simple terrorists. No one can stop them just by banning/blocking them in Social Media Networks plus, they have their own way to sneak back and recruit people again.

Although I hesitate juxtaposing ISIS with Hitler, I can't help but ask what the world would do now if it was the Nazi's and not ISIS that was trying to recruit sympathizers and supporters. Currently, don't website operators already impose any messages/communication that promote hate or violence? Isn't there a general consensus regarding the removal of such potentially harmful speech? ISIS, by existing TOS, should already be banned from social media.

I believe in free speech. Please don't get me wrong. But that freedom comes as a price and is meant to be exercised with responsibility.
